Sexiness has no expiration date.
The steamiest snaps of summer have featured babes over 50 looking smoldering and better than ever.
While some stars might be blessed with good genes, looking this fine isn’t entirely effortless.
“To look like I do at 57, it takes work . . . it’s all about maintenance,” actress and reality star Lisa Rinna, who just turned 58 on July 11, recently said.
Here’s a look at some of the hottest stars ages 50 and up — and the secrets to their anti-aging success, from their fitness philosophies and go-to superfoods to pricey procedures.
Jennifer Lopez, 51
Jennifer Lopez cuts a serious figure at 51 in her new “Cambia El Paso (Change the Step)” music video.
The fiery singer and mom of two insists her face and bod are all natural. Shortly after launching her own skin-care line, JLo Beauty, the pop sensation responded to critics on Instagram accusing her of getting work done. “[That’s] just my face… For the 500 millionth time… I have never done Botox or any injectable or surgery!”
She’s undeniably active — her performances are made up of hours of dancing, after all — and works out with multiple trainers, including cardio dance guru Tracy Anderson. She doesn’t binge on coffee and booze and loads up on lean protein like grass-fed beef and salmon. Lopez is also very into supplements, saying on Instagram Friday that she she believes in “beauty from the inside out” while touting the collagen-boosting pill in her JLo Beauty line that she takes every day. She has also raved about gut health, and has partnerships with Goli gummy vitamins — she’s said the Apple Cider Vinegar gummy is her daily go-to — and a trendy prebiotic soda, Poppi.
Demi Moore, 58
Demi Moore, who favors trendy interactive home gym, the Mirror, rocks a sexy two-piece at age 58.
Although she has graced magazine covers nude and recently posed an Instagram selfie donning a two-piece from the startup swimwear brand Andie (she’s an investor in the line), Moore has long struggled with body confidence. In her revealing 2019 memoir “Inside Out,” the legendary “Indecent Proposal” actress opened up about the body-shaming she experienced as a young actress, and the pressures and “pain and torture” she endured to stay thin. “I cut out carbs, I ran, and I biked, and I worked out on every machine imaginable,” she wrote.
But in a piece in Harper’s Bazaar in 2019, Moore revealed that she had ditched working out for four years, before finding her groove again through at-home classes through virtual gym the Mirror. The 15-minute, low impact workouts are said to be gentle on joints while strengthening and sculpting.
Paulina Porizkova, 56
The saucy stunner wows Instagram followers both with her killer curves and her witty zingers — mostly against critics who try put an artificial age limit on beauty. Last month, the former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model posted a workout photo, noting that she works out three to five times a week, adding, “I frickin hate it” and praising the pilates studio, Nofar Method. “I don’t like to sweat and huff and puff and hurt,” said the Czech-born Porizkova. “If sitting on a couch, eating cake, drinking wine and reading did the same for me as exercise, there would be no contest…. [but] I have come to find out that ‘working out’ is that perfect little pill everyone is looking for.”
She opened up to Page Six Style in June about her skin saviors: nonsurgical procedures like $5,000 Ultherapy (which tightens and lifts the skin), Emsculpt (a body contouring machine) and plasma pen (a wrinkle treatment that costs about $350 a pop).
Halle Berry, 54
Halle Berry makes 54 look good, thanks to her intense workouts with trainer Peter Lee Thomas.
The Academy Award-winning actress has abs you can balance an Oscar on — thanks to her well-documented sweat fests that inspire her seven million Instagram followers. She’s been working with celebrity trainer Peter Lee Thomas for about five years. The pair launched health-and-wellness platform, rē•spin, whose crown jewel is the full-body resistance loop, which helps Berry, a former gymnast, gain strength. The actress told InStyle in March that the program is all about DIY. “[You] don’t need a gym membership to be healthy and fit,” she said. Berry prefers to mix up workouts with strength, cardio, yoga and stretching. “For me, it’s been important not to overstress my body,” she told the mag.
In a recent interview about her collaboration with British activewear brand Sweaty Betty, the actress said she’s leaning into getting older. “With every decade, I’ve felt more and more like myself,” she said, noting the importance of self-care. “It’s important to move your body every day and to have some kind of bodily interaction that makes you feel alive, even if it’s not hardcore exercise. If you meditate, you’re moving within yourself; you’re moving your spirit, you’re moving energies inside around your body. If you read, that’s movement. That’s turning on your brain, and turning on fantasy, traveling within your mind.”
Lisa Rinna, 58
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star posted a sexy pic of herself in a plunging one-piece earlier this month in honor of her 58th birthday. Rinna revealed in an interview with Vogue that she first saw a dermatologist at age 13. “They put me on a program [and] ever since then I always had a skin-care routine,” she said, paying special tribute to the moisturizing Chicet Bone Marrow Cream ($35) — made with porcine-based bone marrow oil — she’s used for 10 years. “I look fresh as a daisy.”
Rinna told People in December that she’s a “dirty vegan”: “I’m mostly plant-based — but if I do need to eat some meat, I’ll have it.” The mom of two revealed that she works out six times a week — sometimes even twice in a day according to OK! mag — mixing it up with spinning and yoga classes. “I just think it’s really good to move every day,” said Rinna. “I really love the combination of SoulCycle and yoga. It keeps me balanced and sane.”
Salma Hayek, 54
The Mexican-American actress credits menopause with amping up her ample assets. Explaining that her breasts “just kept growing,” Hayek elaborated on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook Watch series, “Red Table Talk,” “For some women, they get smaller. But there are some women that when you gain weight, your boobs grow, and other women that when you have children and you breastfeed your boobs grow and they don’t go back down, and then in some of the cases, when you are in menopause, they grow again,” she said. “I just happen to be one of those women that it happened in every single step! When I gain weight, when I got pregnant and when I am in menopause.”
The “Frida” actress also clapped back at ageism stereotypes: “There’s no expiration dates for women. That has to go. Because you can kick ass at any age. You can hold your own at any age, you can dream at any age, you can be romantic at any age.”
Elizabeth Hurley, 56
“The Royals” actress and model has no reason to cover up — especially when the 56-year-old looks this sublime. She’s fairly low-maintenance, telling E! that she eliminated late-night snacking. “Eat your food earlier on in the day, so you’ve got more time to digest it and your body can rest in the sleep period,” she said, noting her nontraditional way of working out. “I don’t go to the gym, but I’m quite active . . . I don’t really sit still [and] I don’t lie around on the sofa.”
The stunner also said that first thing in the morning she downs a large glass of warm water. “It tastes fairly disgusting, but it’s fantastic for your digestive system,” she said.
Sharon Stone, 63
The “Basic Instinct” actress isn’t considered a femme fatale for nothing. She’s not a slave to diets, but is mindful of healthy eating. “I don’t eat processed food. I don’t drink caffeine, and very rarely will have a soda or alcohol,” she told the New York Times. “But I eat meat and dark chocolate. I sugar my tea if I feel like it. I have celiac disease, so I don’t eat gluten. Otherwise, I just eat like a person — whatever I’m hungry for.”
She loves at-home pilates workouts, and will always prefer the spontaneous solo party to “dance my brains out” over a monotonous treadmill workout. She added of her beauty philosophy: “It’s more about real inner beauty. It’s important to have a philosophy or way of life or faith that keeps you balanced.”
Naomi Campbell, 51
The legendary model, 51, is all tied up these days. The new mom announced the arrival of her baby daughter in May, although it’s unclear if Campbell herself gave birth, hired a surrogate or adopted the child. But it’s the fashion icon‘s sleek physique that still has people talking. She famously deadlifted 105 pounds in a 2019 Instagram video, making it look as effortless as catwalking in Paris. She’s also been known to stream her daily workouts, alongside trainer Joe Holder on Instagram Live, which often focus on her sculpted gams. “The lower half of your body has the biggest muscles — your glutes, quads and hamstrings,” Holder told Vogue. He adds resistance to conditioning exercises (like butt-boosting clamshell leg lifts) using bands and is a big fan of the deadlift, which sculpts and strengthens the back of the body.
Padma Lakshmi, 50
The “Top Chef” host and cookbook author knows all about sizzling. At 50, she cuts a seriously slim physique by working out “at least” five days a week, 90 minutes a day, she told Women’s Health.
She was diagnosed with scoliosis at 13, and suffered a fractured hip and shattered arm a year later from a bad car accident, but Lakshmi’s focus on pilates has changed her life. “Pilates changed my body. It made me strong in places I didn’t know I needed to be. I have a butt now that I didn’t have during my modeling career,” she told the mag. Lakshmi, who has an 11-year-old daughter, incorporates about 35 minutes of jumping rope into her workouts for cardio. The chic chef favors a plant-based diet and divides her plates into 50 percent fruits and vegetables, 50 percent simple carbs, starch and lean protein. Also on the menu is up to 10 cups daily of “very strong” masala chai, which is said to reduce inflammation, boost immunity and aid digestion.
